How send a folder in E-mail as an attachment?

Ever wanted to send a folder by e-mail as an attachment? Many free web based email services (like yahoo mail, gmail, rediff mail..)out there allow you to send files only. You don't have an option to send entire folder with them. However,if you want to send a folder through email there is a simple way..

You can attach compressed/zip folders to your message just like files you do in all web based email services. Let us see how to that...

Right-click on the folder or file , select "Send To" and then "Compressed Zip folder" as shown below

Windows compress the folder /file you selected and create compressed folder with the same name next to original folder or in the same window.
Attach the compressed zip folder to your email message and send it.

Yeah, that's great for zipping & sending a folder with WinZip but the receiver has to have WinZip to open the folder and that costs $$.

  25. Anonymous23:23

That's a great way to send a folder. But it's a bummer that the receiver has to purchase WinZip to open it.
